He who has found authentic peace within himself is in a position to assist others who are still seekers, but he who has not yet transcended mere theories and erudite studies about peace can only give them some more thoughts to add to the burden they already carry.
— Notebooks of Paul Brunton

Mind of Gold

Imagine you’re a treasure hunter. One day you discover a chunk of metal in the ground. You dig a hole, pull out the metal, take it home, and start to clean it. At first, one corner of the nugget reveals itself, bright and shining. Gradually, as you wash away the accumulated dirt and mud, the whole chunk is revealed as gold. So let me ask: Which is more valuable—the chunk of gold buried in mud, or the one you cleaned? Actually, the value is equal. Any difference between the dirty nugget and the clean is superficial.

The same can be said of natural mind. The neuronal gossip that keeps you from seeing your mind in its fullness doesn’t really change the fundamental nature of your mind. Thoughts like “I’m ugly,” “I’m stupid,” or “I’m boring” are nothing more than a kind of biological mud, temporarily obscuring the brilliant qualities of Buddha nature, or natural mind.

–Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, from The Joy of Living

The seeker said to himself, "If I'd known
the real meaning of this being with God,
how should I have gone searching for Him?
But that knowledge depended on this journeying:
that knowing can't be gained by thinking, no
matter how precise."

- Rumi

Keep walking, though there's no place to get to.
Don't try to see through the distances.
That's not for human beings.  Move within,
but don't move the way fear makes you move.

The School of Truth
Hafiz

O fool, do something, so you won't just stand there looking dumb.
If you are not traveling and on the road, how can you call yourself a guide?

In the School of Truth, one sits at the feet of the Master of Love.
So listen, son, so that one day you may be an old father, too!

All this eating and sleeping has made you ignorant and fat;
By denying yourself food and sleep, you may still have a chance.

Know this: If God should shine His lovelight on your heart,
I promise you'll shine brighter than a dozen suns.

And I say: wash the tarnished copper of your life from your hands;
To be Love's alchemist, you should be working with gold.

Don't sit there thinking; go out and immerse yourself in God's sea.
Having only one hair wet with water will not
 put knowledge in that head.

For those who see only God, their vision
Is pure, and not a doubt remains.

Even if our world is turned upside down and blown over by the wind,
If you are doubtless, you won't lose a thing.

O Hafiz, if it is union with the Beloved that you seek,
Be the dust at the Wise One's door, and speak!

Talk with Awakening Teachers, twice a week

Chicago based TV show has turned to LIVE Internet Events, where You can call-in and dialog directly with guest teachers from all over the world.

Satsang videos on the internet are somewhat easy to find, but have you ever seen a live show where you could telephone or Skype in, and dialog directly with the guest teacher?

3) Stewart Schwartz, Chuck Hillig and Elle Collier Re are also additions for a July full of consciousness.  Just tell us who you want to be on the show, (and help us by introducing the show to them).

4)  We say "live" is where it's at, but of course we have about 150 hours of recorded archives with more than 30 teachers.  No registering, no joining, no telling us who you are, it's all there for you to partake (not even any advertising on our site).

Check out our TV channel, which runs archive shows 24/7, or choose the webcast you want to see on the VOD, Video on Demand button.  This is also the link where you will see the live show.
