The Nondual Highlights - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NDhighlights

One: Essential Writings on Nonduality: http://tinyurl.com/2blmhy

I want to tell you about a new spiritual cinema service that focuses on the teaching of nonduality. It is called One Soul Media: http://onesoulmedia.com.

Each month you receive in the mail one or two DVDs that are yours to keep. In your package is one full length film, one short film, and one full length video of a nondual teacher. There is a new teacher featured each month. The teacher takes the viewer more deeply into the themes of the films, so that the entire experience is a driver of attention toward the nondual and therefore potentially life changing.

I have received and viewed the initial film package from One Soul Media, and I was extremely pleased with it. As well, my correspondence with Brian over there has been professional and pleasant.

The films shown in the initial package that I watched are the full length Scared Sacred, a short film called A Monk's Awakening, and a full length video of a spiritual talk by Adyashanti entitled Beyond Opposites. Every offering is of the highest quality. You will find each show to be in perfect pitch with the Highlights.

You can read about Scared Sacred here: http://www.scaredsacred.org/. From the website:

In a world teetering on the edge of self-destruction, award-winning filmmaker Velcrow Ripper sets out on a unique pilgrimage. Visiting the 'Ground Zeros' of the planet, he asks if it's possible to find hope in the darkest moments of human history.

ScaredSacred deftly weaves together stunning footage with haunting memories, inspirational stories, and an evocative soundscape. An exquisite portrait of a search for meaning in times of turmoil.

A Monk's Awakening is an excellent short. From the website:

A young monk who peacefully carries home the sacred sword of his venerated master is challenged by a samourai. The monk asks for grace, promising the samourai that he will return once he’s accomplished his mission. Once back at the temple, the monk’s elderly master orders him to keep his promise and to return to confront the samourai – much to the monk’s astonishment. He’s desperate, heading for certain death, even though his master has taught him how to die. Watch the trailer here:

I believe that most readers of the Highlights are familiar with Adyashanti. He appears in nearly a hundred issues of the Highlights. Here is a quote posted in March of 2001:

It is one thing to realize the Self; it is something else
altogether to embody that realization to the extent that
there is no gap between inner revelation and its outer
expression. Many have glimpsed the realization of
Oneness; few consistently express that realization
through their humanness. It is one thing to touch a
flame and know it is hot, but quite another to jump
into that flame and be consumed by it.

--Adyashanti

You can find videos of Adyashanti on YouTube, however each one is couple minutes long. The video of Adyashanti in the One Soul Media package is almost 2 hours long, so you get the experience of continuity.

If you want to take the leap from "spiritual cinema" to "nondual cinema," experience One Soul Media. You subscribe month to month, so you are a member for the length of time that you decide upon. Read more at the website: http://onesoulmedia.com
