The Nondual Highlights

An extraordinary offer is made by Swami Abhayananda. He is offering three hard to find, important books for free as eBooks. Swami is perhaps best known in the nonduality community for his great work on Jnaneshvar. Some years ago I published a very short version of the book at http://nonduality.com/jnan.htm and it has been resorted to and quoted frequently. This is also your chance to read another version of the Avadhuta Gita, assuming you have already read one or two. And for the westernized version of nonduality, Swami offers a work on the selected writings of Plotinus.

JNANESHVAR: The Life and Works of

The Celebrated 13th Century Indian Mystic-Poet

By Swami Abhayananda

Jnaneshvar was one of the most brilliant poets, sublime mystics, and fascinating figures
in all of Medieval Indian History. At an age when most men have scarcely begun their
life’s work, Jnaneshvar, who lived from 1271 to 1296—a mere span of twenty-five years—had
ended his; but not before having built an everlasting monument to his memory in the
written masterpieces he left behind. Here, Swami Abhayananda tells the story of this
remarkable life, and in his masterful English translation of Jnaneshvar’s work reveals
the depth of his Self-realization, the profundity of his thought, the rich profusion of
his imagery, and the unmistakeable style of his homespun wisdom, distinguishing his works
as those of a unique spiritual genius. The complete works included her in translation are
Amritanubhav, “The Nectar of Mystical Experience”; Haripatha, “Sing The Name of God
(Hari)”; and Changadev Pasashti, “Letter To Changadev”.

DATTATREYA: Song of The Avadhut

Translated by Swami Abhayananda

The Avadhut Gita, attributed to the legendary sage, Dattatreya, has had many forerunners
and many reaffirmations over the centuries; yet, of all the many such declarations of the
knowledge of the non-dual Self, none is more eloquent, convincing and illuminating, that
this. Not only the profundity and genuineness of his vision, but the poetic beauty of his
Song, has made this book a source of joy and inspiration to his grateful readers over the
years. Here, in the most compelling translation of this work ever written, Swami
Abhayananda presents an uncompromising version of this great classic of Self-knowledge
which lifts us into the freedom and exultation of pure awareness, and allows us to taste
a little of the sweet nectar of our own intrinsic bliss. Transliterated Sanskrit text is
included on facing pages.
