Irish Buddhist Blessing (oh,yeah, sure ,^))

May your troubles be less,
And your blessings be more.
And nothing but happiness,
Come through your door.

Love is something I don't write about
much. But if you love, you pay undivided
attention to that you love. So, if you want
to know what you love, notice what you
have been paying attention to. By the way,
have you paid attention to anything without
thinking lately? Have you looked, hear, felt,
anything, anyone, without thought?

If there is peace in your mind you will find peace
with everybody. If your mind is agitated you will
find agitation everywhere. So first find peace within
and you will see this inner peace reflected every-
where else. You are this peace! You are happiness,
find out. Where else will you find peace if not within
you?

J. Krishnamurti.org - Daily Quote:

How Can There Be Real Love?

The image you have about a person, the image you have about your
politicians, the prime minister, your god, your wife, your children-that
image is being looked at. And that image has been created through your
relationship, or through your fears, or through your hopes. The sexual and
other pleasures you have had with your wife, your husband, the anger, the
flattery, the comfort, and all the things that your family life brings-a
deadly life it is-have created an image about your wife or husband. With
that image you look. Similarly, your wife or husband has an image about you.
So the relationship between you and your wife or husband, between you and
the politician is really the relationship between these two images. Right?
That is a fact. How can two images which are the result of thought, of
pleasure and so on, have any affection or love?

So the relationship between two individuals, very close together or very
far, is a relationship of images, symbols, memories. And in that, how can
there be real love?

The sage attends to the inner and not to the outer;
He puts away the objective and holds to the subjective.

The sage occupies himself with inaction,
and conveys instructions without words.

Who is there that can make muddy water clear?
But if allowed to remain still ...

it will gradually become clear of itself.

Who is there that can secure a state of absolute repose?
But let time go on, and the state of repose ...

will gradually arise.

The eternal way is eternally inactive,
and yet it leaves nothing 'undone.'

The pursuit of book-learning brings about ...
daily increase of 'knowledge.'

The practice of the eternal way
brings about daily loss of ignorance
.
Repeat the loss again and again,
and you arrive at inaction.

Practice inaction, and there is nothing
which cannot be done.

Practice inaction, occupy yourself
with doing 'nothing.'

Leave all things to take their natural course,
and do not interfere.

All things in Nature work silently.

Once the mirror of your heart is clear and
pure, you will see images beyond this
world of water and clay. You will see both
the image and the Maker of images, both
the carpet of the kingdom and Him who
lays the carpet.
